A DON JUAN OF IDEAS
Don Juan with ideas that entertain
all possible theories, wanton pursuer
of thought, eternal pilgrim anxious
to know it all, I know you complain of
boredom after your quest and advise
other young men to abandon the path
of knowledge and enclose their destiny
behind a sacred barrier of ignorance.
It was never the love of truth, but
an intellectual lust that controlled
your mind and gave you that urge
to pursue reason so violently;
but she has punished this offence
by making your thinking sterile.
